Strategic Business Manager – High Growth Fintech

My client is looking for a dynamic, high-energy Business Manager to drive the day-to-day operations of a fast-growing financial advisory firm just minutes from Liverpool Street. You’ll be the operational heartbeat of the business, keeping everything coordinated, compliant, and running at peak efficiency.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role covering finance support, HR administration, supplier management, governance, and the smooth running of internal systems. As the central hub of the organisation, you’ll work closely with senior leaders and connect seamlessly with the parent company to ensure sharp communication, robust processes, and a brilliantly organised business.

The role

Finance & Administration

\\n\\n

  • Prepare monthly invoice runs and support reconciliation and reporting.
  • \\n\\t

  • Coordinate payroll submissions and pension contributions.
  • \\n\\t

  • Manage VAT and regulatory filings alongside external accountants.
  • \\n\\t

  • Maintain company financial records, banking access, and routine admin tasks.
  • \\n

\\n\\n

HR & Internal Operations

\\n\\n

    \\n\\t
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including contracts and access.
  • \\n\\t

  • Maintain employee documentation and internal records.
  • \\n\\t

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
  • \\n

\\n\\n

Governance, Compliance & Corporate Administration

\\n\\n

    \\n\\t
  • Maintain statutory records and assist with Companies House submissions.
  • \\n\\t

  • Oversee insurance records and renewal cycles.
  • \\n\\t

  • Maintain compliance and operational documentation (policies, processes, DR/continuity plans).
  • \\n\\t

  • Ensure key internal deadlines, reviews, and filings are met.
  • \\n

Supplier & Contract Management

\\n\\n

    \\n\\t
  • Maintain a central register of suppliers, licences, and contract terms.
  • \\n\\t

  • Track renewals, subscriptions, and payment schedules.
  • \\n\\t

  • Liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery of services and support.
  • \\n

\\n\\n

Operational Coorination

\\n\\n

    \\n\\t
  • Support leadership with planning, scheduling, and operational reporting.
  • \\n\\t

  • Coordinate with the parent company to ensure alignment and streamline communication.
  • \\n\\t

  • Keep internal systems, records, and processes organised and up to date.
  • \\n

\\n\\n

What you’ll be/have

\\n\\n

    \\n\\t
  • Proven experience in business operations/office management/administrative management.
  • \\n\\t

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • \\n\\t

  • Good understanding of finance administration (invoicing, payroll coordination, VAT, reconciliation).
  • \\n\\t

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with senior stakeholders.
  • \\n\\t

  • High level of reliability, discretion, and professionalism.
  • \\n\\t

  • Comfortable managing multiple processes concurrently and maintaining structure.
  • \\n\\t

  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • \\n
