A private Family Office is seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Bookkeeper to join the team on a permanent part‑time basis, working two days per week on site, ideally a Wednesday and a Friday, or at least one of those days in Kensington. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on finance professional who thrives in a small, professional environment and can work independently while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records across three entities.
- Process approximately 100–200 financial transactions per month.
- Assisting with business scaling.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns in accordance with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements.
- Provide ad hoc financial support and assistance to the CFO as required.
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Senior Level Bookkeeper, ideally gained within a Family Office or high end boutique business.
- Experience preparing management accounts.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero (essential).
- AAT qualification, or equivalent, is desirable.
- Top level qualifications, degree educated.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Professional, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
