Job responsibilities:

  • Monitor and arrange training and induction of staff, coupled with adherence to practice policies and procedures, including Information Governance training and understanding of current GDPR legislation.
  • Prepare the arrival of GP Registrars, liaising with the local Deanery whilst supporting GP trainers as needed.
  • Manage HR aspects of clinical and administrative staff, ensuring all prescribed criteria is in place.
  • Produce and monitor all employment contracts, with the application of DBS Clearances.
  • Manage an induction programme for all new staff, including administrative and clinical, as well as locums.
  • Manage and oversee Annual/Study leave requests in line with needs of the practice.
  • Monitor Staff Sickness and accompanying formalities.
  • Monitor all elements of CQC requirements to maintain rigorous control and adherence to regulations.
  • Work closely with the Practice Manager to enhance management resources.
  • Manage all aspects of Health & Safety and Fire Regulations.
  • Work with the Reception Supervisor to establish Clinical Rotas.
  • Monitor, manage, train and motivate the administrative team.
  • Ensure IT hardware is well maintained and communicate with the IT Department for Practice needs.

  • Vocational / professional, health-related or management qualification
  • Leadership and Management Qualification

  • Experience of team leading and performance management
  • Experience of workforce planning

  • Experience of learning and teaching new skills
  • Experience in a GP Practice in a similar role
  • Experience with SystemOne
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
