Responsibilities
- Deliver sustainable, profitable growth by minimising risks, maximising opportunities and avoiding disputes.
- Assist the commercial team with both commercial and contractual aspects of a project as required.
- Further develop your knowledge, skills, and capability.
General Requirements
- Perform commercial functions as directed by the Commercial Manager or MQS/ Senior QS/QS.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance.
- Understand working within defined budgets.
- Have awareness of cost or benefit applicable to tasks performed.
- Assist the work-winning team where necessary.
Cost Management
- In conjunction with line manager prepare accurate and prudent cost/value analysis.
- Assist line manager with accurate budget preparation.
- Conduct site measurement.
- Be an integral part of the site team to understand more clearly ways to reduce and manage costs.
- Maintain good quality and accurate records securely in line with company procedures.
- Maintain cost information.
Value Management
- Assist with developing robust and consistent change control process to ensure that appropriate contract price adjustments are identified.
- In conjunction with line manager prepare accurate pricing and rating of variations.
- Prepare interim and final account agreement of subcontracts.
- Prepare interim and final account measurement.
- Prepare and agree any sundry accounts.
Essential Experience
- Previous experience working with NEC 3 or 4.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience working in the water sector.
