We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud/Infrastructure Architect to join our team. The Cloud/Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and oversight of technology solutions that meet our organisation's strategic objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of Lean and agile practices, architecture patterns and frameworks, cloud technologies, and enterprise solutions, as well as strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to establishing Azure cloud technology principles, standards, guidelines, and reference models, and promote DevOps practices across the business.
  • Contribute to cloud technology roadmaps and shape our cloud strategy.
  • Support fellow architects in cloud design solutions.
  • Deep understanding of cloud security risks.
  • Invest in continuous development of technical and soft skills.
  • Participate actively in our team community.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Communicate complex topics effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture with an Infrastructure background.
  • Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Preferably, strong knowledge of the Microsoft stack (Azure, M365).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid experience with lean, agile, and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of Identity Governance (IAM) is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Azure Compute: VMs, VMSS, App Service, Azure Functions, AKS, etc.
  • Azure Networking: Express Route, Virtual Network, ASG/NSG, Front Door, Azure Firewall, DNS, UDR, Traffic Manager.
  • Azure Management & Governance: Policy, Management Groups, RBAC, Bastion, Automation, Backup, Azure Monitor, Defender.
  • Azure Storage: Blob, Disks, Files.
  • Azure Migrations: Azure Migrate, 3rd-party tools.
  • DevOps Tools: Azure Pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitHub.
  • Infrastructural disciplines and technologies: Microsoft Technologies, VMWare, ESX, vSphere, Citrix, SQL, LAN/WAN/MAN, Routing, Firewall, Wireless, IDS/IPS, WAN optimization, Proxy, VPN, Load Balancing, IT Security.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in architecture or cloud technologies (e.g., TOGAF, AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-303/304/305).
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
