Role Overview
The Senior Marketing Executive is responsible for the end‑to‑end ownership, strategy, governance and day‑to‑day operation of KnightFrank’s social media presence across all major platforms. The role reports into the Senior Lead Marketing Channels and leads social media delivery across multiple service lines and markets, acting as the central authority for social media strategy, execution, best practice and compliance.
The Senior Social Media Marketing Executive operates with a high degree of autonomy, managing reputational risk, supporting global brand visibility and ensuring social media contributes meaningfully to brand, PR and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall strategy, execution, optimisation, governance, accountability and training for KnightFrank’s core social channels.
- Ownership of the UK content calendar; responsible for planning, creating, scheduling and publishing high‑quality content for our primary social media channels (focus on all UK divisions), including Residential Sales & Lettings, International, Residential, Commercial, Rural, Energy & Projects, Development Services and Associated brands.
- Ongoing trend and innovation monitoring; keep KnightFrank culturally relevant and competitive by maximising current platform capabilities or harnessing emerging technologies.
- Lead and advise on social media strategy across all UK service lines, ensuring alignment with wider marketing, PR and business objectives.
- Set measurable targets against industry benchmarks for tracking growth and commercial impact of our channels.
- Act as the direct point of contact and provide relevant social media reporting for all service lines.
- Collaborate with global marketing teams to reflect the international audience and global visibility of KnightFrank’s social channels.
- Provide strategic input into campaigns, launches and PR activity and support paid media strategy with expert recommendations.
- Work alongside and manage relationships with third‑party agencies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure their important wins, critical news or brand initiatives are featured on the appropriate social platforms.
- Confidently manage senior stakeholders, providing guidance and expert advice on social media best practices.
- Participate in all aspects of content creation (planning, strategy calls, coordinating shoots, script writing, storyboarding, aligning social and PR objectives, messaging and delivery).
- Provide direction, prioritisation and ongoing support to marketing executives within the team to ensure our channels scale while maintaining consistency and brand integrity.
- Deliver ad‑hoc social media training across the UK and globally.
- Flag unauthorised or fake social media accounts and other breaches of the Global Social Media Policy and take appropriate action to protect the brand.
About You
You’re passionate about social and understand the value it can bring to a brand in terms of storytelling and generating leads. You’re a strategic thinker and have successfully scaled social media channels with a substantial number of followers, consistently achieving set KPI targets and reporting results to senior leadership. You’re innovative, able to think on your feet, meet timelines, manage stakeholder expectations, hold external agencies accountable, stay up‑to‑date on social trends, know what type of content performs best on each channel, and create/edit scroll‑stopping content. You thrive under pressure, manage multiple channels and pivot between brand needs with a smile.
Professional Experience and Personal Skills
- At least 5 years of experience in a social media role with a proven track record of scaling accounts with a substantial following (broad digital marketing experience is a bonus).
- Expert knowledge of Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and other platforms, including organic and paid advertising to increase brand awareness and deliver leads; YouTube is a bonus.
- Strong understanding and experience with social media reporting and publishing tools.
- A dual‑minded approach: strategic, data‑driven and process‑oriented yet highly creative and content‑producing.
- Excellent communicator comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and third‑party agencies.
- Strong planning and organisation skills; can prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Skilled content creator: proficient with Canva and in‑platform photo/video editing; bonus skills include Adobe CC, CapCut, filming with a gimbal and Monday.com.
- Excellent attention to detail, self‑motivated with a “can‑do” attitude.
