About The Role
The Property Asset Management Department are looking to recruit a Surveyor to work within our outsourced estate and asset management team advising a Blue Light Services client on their approximately 350 properties and assets across Greater London.
What you will be responsible for:
- Provide high quality day to day support to the heads of estate & asset management and their core team in the client organisation.
- Be the face of Knight Frank in the client organisation, attend client meetings with the wider organisation and stakeholders as required.
- Be part of a small tight team of Knight Frank staff within the client organisation and liaise with internal client teams and external advisers.
- Provide estate and asset management services for the estate, liaising with the client accounting team, provide and manage others in the provision of landlord and tenant transactions and other advice for an operational public sector estate to ensure all assets are operating efficiently.
- Work closely with other departments and 3rd party advisers to execute lease transactions where necessary.
- Assist with annual financial budgeting, tenancy queries regarding occupancy, service charge and access.
- Co-ordination of all internal and external work streams.
- Client correspondence and project management.
- To have a good understanding of landlord and tenant matters.
- To undertake market research and analysis where required in the context of a transaction or reporting.

- To communicate fully with Knight Frank colleagues to ensure that business is managed in an efficient and professional manner.
- To perform other tasks delegated by the Lead Partner in charge of this contract as required.
- Adhere to all deadlines set for the completion of work.
- Adhere to governance processes to ensure rigorous quality of service, advice and accuracy of property and financial data.
- Maintain confidentiality in respect of all work undertaken by the Department and to be aware of what is likely to be sensitive information.
Team:
- Management of support including a data and treasury manager, graduate and other consultants.
- Support the wider team with project work as and when required.
- Liaise with members of other departments and get to know the individuals and their markets.
Systems & IT competence:
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office functions.
- Property database.
What experience you will need:
- Qualifications/Education Required: MRICS.
- Career Experience Required: Experience of working across a variety of asset classes. Public Sector experience is desirable although not essential. General Practice experience (Corporate Real Estate, Landlord & Tenant, Property Asset Management). Lease Advisory experience would be beneficial.
- Particular Aptitudes/Skills Required: Willingness and flexibility to work collaboratively in a team to achieve and exceed goals. The commitment and determination to act effectively and professionally on behalf of the client. Driven and motivated and able to manage multiple deadlines and changing priorities with the ability to motivate and direct others where appropriate. The capacity for accuracy, attention to detail, an orderly approach to work and numeracy. Excellent organisation skills. The personality to engage with other professionals and clients alike in promoting the firm and building profile in a professional manner.
