Knight Frank is hiring an enthusiastic and innovative Econometrician / Data Scientist to join its market‐leading Modelling and Intelligence team on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC). This is a research‐focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys applying advanced econometric and data science techniques to real‐world business problems, with a particular emphasis on real estate modelling and analysis.
The Role
- Work closely with colleagues across Global Research, particularly Analytics (Data Science, Data Engineering, Geospatial and Innovation), to deliver econometric and data science analysis of real estate phenomena.
- Design, build and refine inferential and statistical models.
- Manipulate, cleanse and analyse complex datasets, including proprietary and external data sources.
- Prepare clear, high‐quality outputs for internal stakeholders, including data books, dashboards and research outputs.
- Collaborate with technical and non‐technical stakeholders while also owning projects independently.
Technical Requirements
- Strong background in Python (essential).
- Advanced econometric and statistical modelling experience.
- Experience with Databricks and Azure DevOps (highly desirable, but not essential).
- Proven ability to ensure accuracy and rigour in data manipulation, analysis and presentation.
- Comfortable working across the full analytical lifecycle, from data preparation through to communication of insights.
Experience & Background
- Relevant university degree.
- At least 4 years’ relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated problem‐solving capability and strong analytical judgement.
- Experience of the real estate sector is desirable but not essential.
- Self‐motivated, able to work independently, and well suited to a professional, collaborative team environment.
Operating Environment
- Role sits within the Modelling and Intelligence Department, part of the wider Global Research division.
- Based at Knight Frank’s 55 Baker Street office.
- Day‐to‐day management provided by the Head of Data Science.
