Knew Productions is a national award winning corporate video production company based near Wrexham and Chester. We have been delivering high impact video content to companies and organisations across the UK and overseas for 25 years. We are looking for a junior video editor to join our friendly, family-run in-house team. Remember to check your CV before applying Also, ensure you read through all the requirements related to this role. This is a junior role – salary dependent on experience. Your role will include: Learning and developing skills in using Final Cut Pro editing software Taking responsibility for handling/organising footage (initially with guidance), undertaking editing tasks and preparing projects for a more senior editor to sign off Editing some projects from start to finish when competent Developing relationships with clients to gain a better understanding of their projects Giving occasional production support – general assistance, some camera work if appropriate Undertaking general office tasks as required The position is mostly office/studio based but there may be occasional filming and meetings on location, so the ability to drive would be an advantage. Working hours will generally be 9:00-5:30 Mon-Fri, but there may be occasional need to work at other times, if this is agreeable time will be given in lieu. Equally, there may be opportunities for flexitime if mutually convenient. Good ideas are always welcome and showing initiative is encouraged! We are keen to keep Knew Productions up to date and relevant, so new video trends/styles and approaches should be regularly reviewed. Regular operations meetings will be held to plan workflow and discuss individual projects. Regular staff appraisal meetings will be held to discuss progress and working systems. There will be ongoing in-house training and support, plus the opportunity to attend professional courses when required. The ideal candidate would have some experience, qualifications and knowledge in video editing/film and television. They would also possess: An enthusiasm for all aspects of film and TV Creative skills An aptitude for using technical equipment Accuracy and an eye for detail Patience and the ability to maintain concentration during long edit sessions Customer service skills The ability to work independently but also as part of our team Good organisational/office skills Communication skills On application please provide a CV and any links to work you have completed.
