The Venue: Well known throughout the region for its outstanding food, warm hospitality and loyal customer base, the business has built a reputation for delivering consistently high standards across both its restaurant and hotel operation. As a smaller independent business, every member of the management team plays an active role in the guest journey, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere that keeps guests returning time and again.
The Role: Working closely with the senior management team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of both the hotel and restaurant. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee reception, restaurant service and the wider guest experience, ensuring exceptional standards are maintained across every department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the daily operation of both the hotel and restaurant
- Managing reception, guest arrivals and departures
- Leading restaurant service and supporting the front-of-house team during busy periods
- Delivering exceptional guest experiences throughout every stage of the customer journey
- Assisting with private functions, events and operational planning
- Supporting recruitment, training and ongoing development of team members
- Handling guest feedback and resolving issues professionally
- Maintaining exceptional service standards across the business
- Leading by example while creating a positive, motivated team culture

About You: Current Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, Restaurant Manager, Restaurant Supervisor or experienced hospitality professional ready to step up. Previous experience within quality hotels, restaurants or hospitality venues. Confident working across multiple departments including reception and restaurant operations. Strong leadership and organisational skills. Excellent communication and guest service ability. Calm, professional and proactive under pressure. Passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality. Positive attitude with a genuine team-first approach. Experience across hotel reception, restaurant service and events would be highly advantageous.
The Package: £32,000–£35,000 depending on experience. Performance bonus. Tronc on top. 2.5 days off every week. Flexible rota designed to support a healthy work-life balance. Closed Sunday evenings. Not required to work every Sunday (rota dependent). Christmas Day & Boxing Day off. 20% staff discount within the restaurant. Complimentary gym membership. Staff social events and team trips.
