An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Duty Manager to join one of North Lincolnshire's most respected independent hospitality businesses. Combining an award-winning Mediterranean restaurant with boutique hotel accommodation and private events, this is a genuinely varied operational management role where no two days are the same.

As a close-knit independent business, the management team work collaboratively across both the hotel and restaurant, creating an environment where versatility, teamwork and genuine hospitality are valued above hierarchy. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional looking to take ownership, lead from the front and become an integral part of a well-established business.

The Venue: Well known throughout the region for its outstanding food, warm hospitality and loyal customer base, the business has built a reputation for delivering consistently high standards across both its restaurant and hotel operation. As a smaller independent business, every member of the management team plays an active role in the guest journey, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere that keeps guests returning time and again.

The Role: Working closely with the senior management team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of both the hotel and restaurant. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee reception, restaurant service and the wider guest experience, ensuring exceptional standards are maintained across every department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the daily operation of both the hotel and restaurant
  • Managing reception, guest arrivals and departures
  • Leading restaurant service and supporting the front-of-house team during busy periods
  • Delivering exceptional guest experiences throughout every stage of the customer journey
  • Assisting with private functions, events and operational planning
  • Supporting recruitment, training and ongoing development of team members
  • Handling guest feedback and resolving issues professionally
  • Maintaining exceptional service standards across the business
  • Leading by example while creating a positive, motivated team culture

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a hands-on environment and genuinely enjoys working with both guests and people.

About You: Current Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, Restaurant Manager, Restaurant Supervisor or experienced hospitality professional ready to step up. Previous experience within quality hotels, restaurants or hospitality venues. Confident working across multiple departments including reception and restaurant operations. Strong leadership and organisational skills. Excellent communication and guest service ability. Calm, professional and proactive under pressure. Passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality. Positive attitude with a genuine team-first approach. Experience across hotel reception, restaurant service and events would be highly advantageous.

The Package: £32,000–£35,000 depending on experience. Performance bonus. Tronc on top. 2.5 days off every week. Flexible rota designed to support a healthy work-life balance. Closed Sunday evenings. Not required to work every Sunday (rota dependent). Christmas Day & Boxing Day off. 20% staff discount within the restaurant. Complimentary gym membership. Staff social events and team trips. Ongoing training, development and funded professional courses. Genuine long-term progression within an established independent hospitality business.

Why This Role? This is far more than a traditional Duty Manager position. You'll become part of a successful independent hospitality business where you'll gain exposure across both hotel and restaurant operations, work alongside an experienced leadership team, and enjoy a package that genuinely supports both your professional development and quality of life. Offering a competitive salary, excellent benefits, outstanding work-life balance and the opportunity to play a key role within a respected independent business, this is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious hospitality professional looking to take the next step in their career.
