The restaurant has built an outstanding reputation for combining refined, seasonal cuisine with warm, intuitive hospitality. Working within a highly collaborative front-of-house team, you'll have the opportunity to continue expanding your knowledge whilst helping deliver one of Wales' finest dining experiences.
Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and senior leadership team, you will help oversee all aspects of wine service while maintaining the exceptional standards expected within a luxury 4 AA Rosette restaurant. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering professional and engaging wine service throughout lunch and dinner
- Advising guests on wine selections and food pairings
- Supporting the management and development of the wine cellar
- Assisting with stock control, ordering and inventory management
- Helping train and develop junior members of the front-of-house team
- Working closely with the kitchen to deliver seamless guest experiences
- Maintaining exceptional standards of presentation and service throughout the restaurant
This is a hands-on position where knowledge, personality and genuine hospitality are equally valued.
About You:
- Current Assistant Head Sommelier, Sommelier, or experienced wine professional ready to progress
- Previous experience within Michelin, AA Rosette or luxury hotel environments would be highly advantageous
- WSET qualifications would be beneficial, although enthusiasm and willingness to learn are equally important
- Passion for wine, food pairing and guest service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, organised and professional under pressure
- A genuine team player with a desire to continually develop
