The Role
Working closely with the Head Chef, you will act as a key leader within the brigade and help drive standards across all aspects of the kitchen.
You will:
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Lead service confidently and deputise in the Head Chef’s absence
- Help manage ordering, stock control, supplier relationships and kitchen organisation
- Support menu development using outstanding Scottish produce
- Train, mentor and motivate junior members of the team
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, presentation and hygiene
- Contribute to a positive kitchen culture built around professionalism, collaboration and development
This is a hands-on role for a chef who enjoys both cooking and leadership, and who wants to be part of a business with clear ambitions for the future.
About You
- Current Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef ready to step up
- Experience within 2 AA Rosette, Michelin Guide or equivalent quality-led kitchens
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor younger chefs
- Passionate about seasonal produce and Scottish ingredients
- Organised, calm and commercially aware
- Positive, grounded and team-focused in your approach
- Looking for a long-term role within a quality independent business
