An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chef de Partie / Junior Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a highly regarded luxury hotel in the Scottish Highlands.

Operating at 2 AA Rosette level, this is a kitchen with a strong food identity, built around exceptional Scottish produce, seasonal cooking and warm, thoughtful hospitality. The hotel has developed a reputation for delivering high standards without pretension, and the kitchen is now looking to strengthen with a chef who wants to keep learning, take on more responsibility, and be part of an ambitious but grounded team.

This role would suit either an established Junior Sous Chef or a strong Chef de Partie / Senior Chef de Partie ready to take the next step.

The Role

You will work closely with the Head Chef and senior team, helping to maintain standards across prep and service while continuing to build your own skills and confidence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Running your section confidently during prep and service
  • Supporting wider kitchen operations and helping coordinate service when required
  • Preparing and delivering dishes to a consistently high standard
  • Working with excellent Scottish produce across seasonal menus
  • Maintaining strong mise en place, organisation and food safety standards
  • Supporting junior team members and contributing to a positive kitchen culture
  • Taking on additional responsibility in line with your level and development

For the right chef, this role offers a genuine route into a more senior position within the brigade.

About You

  • Current Chef de Partie, Senior Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef
  • Experience in quality fresh-food kitchens; Rosette experience would be highly beneficial
  • Passion for seasonal produce and well-executed cooking
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your section
  • Calm, reliable and team-focused under pressure
  • Ambitious and keen to continue progressing within a quality-led kitchen
