About the Property
This five-star Georgian country-house hotel is set in four acres of award-winning gardens on the edge of Bath city centre. The pastry section supports its 3 AA Rosette restaurant, afternoon tea and wider luxury hotel operation.
The Role
We are seeking a capable and creative Pastry Chef de Partie to take an active role within a quality-led pastry section. Working with the senior kitchen team, you will help deliver refined restaurant desserts, afternoon tea, breads, cakes, petits fours and bespoke hotel offerings to consistently high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver restaurant desserts, pastries, breads, cakes and afternoon-tea items.
- Take responsibility for pastry mise en place and support the smooth running of the section.
- Produce consistent work to established recipes, presentation and 3 AA Rosette standards.
- Plate and finish desserts confidently during service.
- Maintain excellent hygiene, allergen control, organisation, stock rotation and waste control.
- Support and guide junior chefs where required.
- Contribute ideas and work collaboratively with the wider kitchen brigade.
About You
- Previous pastry experience within a quality hotel, restaurant or fresh-food kitchen.
- Confident producing refined desserts and pastry items to a consistently strong standard.
- Rosette, Michelin-listed or comparable high-end experience is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation.
- Reliable, organised and calm during service.
- A positive team player keen to continue developing.
