A well-established, produce-led country pub in the New Forest is looking to recruit a Chef de Partie to join its kitchen team. This is a fresh-food kitchen cooking everything from scratch, with menus built around the best local and seasonal produce. The food operates at Rosette standard, but the culture is grounded, supportive, and focused on developing chefs properly — not burning them out.
This role would suit:
- A strong Demi Chef de Partie ready to step up
- An experienced CDP looking for a well-run kitchen with balance
- A chef slightly above or below CDP level who is keen to learn and grow
The Role:
- Running your own section during service with support from the senior team
- Preparing and cooking dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Maintaining organisation, consistency and high standards throughout service
- Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop skills and confidence
- Contributing ideas to menus and daily specials
- Supporting a positive, professional kitchen environment
Shifts:
- Hours 5 days per week
- 2 consecutive days off each week
- Realistic, manageable chef hours
- A strong emphasis on work–life balance in a busy, successful kitchen
About You:
- Experience in a fresh-food kitchen (Rosette experience beneficial but not essential)
- Passion for cooking from scratch and working with quality produce
