This is a fresh-food kitchen cooking everything from scratch, with menus built around the best local and seasonal produce. The food operates at Rosette standard, but the culture is grounded, supportive, and focused on developing chefs properly — not burning them out.

  • An experienced CDP looking for a well-run kitchen with balance
  • A chef slightly above or below CDP level who is keen to learn and grow

The Role:

  • Running your own section during service with support from the senior team
  • Preparing and cooking dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients
  • Maintaining organisation, consistency and high standards throughout service
  • Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop skills and confidence
  • Contributing ideas to menus and daily specials
  • Supporting a positive, professional kitchen environment

Shifts:

  • Hours 5 days per week
  • 2 consecutive days off each week
  • Realistic, manageable chef hours
  • A strong emphasis on work–life balance in a busy, successful kitchen

About You:

  • Experience in a fresh-food kitchen (Rosette experience beneficial but not essential)
  • Passion for cooking from scratch and working with quality produce
  • Organised, reliable and calm under pressure
  • Keen to learn, improve and progress
  • A team player with a positive attitude

What’s on Offer:

  • Salary circa £32,000 ± depending on experience (negotiable for the right person)
  • Tips / tronc paid on top
  • Consistent rota with consecutive days off
  • Supportive kitchen with a genuine focus on training and development
  • Opportunity to progress as the kitchen continues to grow
  • A respected, busy venue with a loyal local and destination following

This is a solid, long-term opportunity for a chef who wants to cook good food, learn from a strong team, and still have a life outside the kitchen. If you’d like more details or a confidential conversation, get in touch.
