An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Duty Manager to join a respected independent hospitality business that combines an award‑winning Mediterranean restaurant with boutique hotel accommodation and private events.
Responsibilities
- Support the daily operation of both the hotel and restaurant.
- Manage reception, guest arrivals and departures.
- Lead restaurant service and support the front‑of‑house team during busy periods.
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences throughout every stage of the customer journey.
- Assist with private functions, events and operational planning.
- Support recruitment, training and ongoing development of team members.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally.
- Maintain exceptional service standards across the business.
- Lead by example while creating a positive, motivated team culture.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, Restaurant Manager, or Restaurant Supervisor.
- Experience within quality hotels, restaurants or hospitality venues.
- Confident working across multiple departments, including reception and restaurant operations.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and guest service ability.
- Calm, professional and proactive under pressure.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality.
- Positive attitude with a genuine team‑first approach.
- Experience across hotel reception, restaurant service, and events highly advantageous.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: £32,000‑£35,000, depending on experience.
