Knebworth Golf Club is looking for a highly organised, professional and friendly Club and Events Administrator to join our team. Knebworth is a vibrant, award-winning members’ golf club where our members are at the heart of everything we do. Alongside our membership, we also welcome non-members through external functions, conference bookings, society days, open competitions, private events, meetings and other golf club bookings.
This is a varied and important role, supporting the smooth running of the club across membership administration, events, functions, competitions, charging and general office duties. The successful candidate will be a key point of contact for members, guests, visitors and event organisers, helping to ensure everyone receives a warm, efficient and professional experience.
About the Role
As Club and Events Administrator, you will support the day-to-day administration of the club, including reception duties, membership processes, event and function administration, competition support and accurate charging across club activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing reception and responding to telephone and email enquiries.
- Supporting membership administration, including new member onboarding, leaving members, membership changes, lockers and direct debit processes.
- Assisting with member events, presentation evenings, AGM administration and membership renewals.
- Supporting the administration of internal club events, external functions, conference bookings, society days, private bookings, meetings, wakes and celebrations.
- Preparing and updating function sheets, booking notes and event information.
- Liaising with members, visitors, event organisers, conference bookers and internal teams to ensure all details are accurate and clearly communicated.
- Supporting event enquiries, confirmations, menus, dietary requirements, room layouts and final numbers.
- Processing charges for events, functions, conferences, competitions, societies, matches, match meals and other golf club business.
- Carrying out monthly checks to ensure all events, matches, competitions, societies and other relevant charges have been raised accurately.
- Supporting the administration of open competitions, including entries, fees, competitor communications and on-the-day support.
- Assisting the General Manager and Club Operations Manager with wider administration and projects.
- The role could also include one day each month, either on a Saturday or Sunday, dedicated to meeting, greeting and assisting members.

- Previous experience in administration, events, hospitality, golf clubs, membership organisations or customer service would be beneficial.
