About the role:
The primary purpose of this role is to provide structured support to Manufacturing Support Engineers through the creation of SOPs and operational documents essential to the effective functioning of the organisation. Key duties include, but are not limited to:
- Creation and maintenance of AutoCAD drawings for cutting tools and factory layouts.
- Creation and manipulation of 3D models of the component, to assist with the offline programming.
- To review and assist with the operator set up procedure.
- Create SOP (standard operating procedures).
- Maintain tooling and fixture drawings.
- Create where required, set up drawings and pictures.
- Order tooling for the machines and operators.
- Change routings in SAP, for corrections of operation narratives and cycle times.
- To maintain and create project plans.
What we’re looking for:
Candidates must have the following essential qualifications and experience:
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- GCSE in Maths and English at Level 4 or higher, or equivalent.
- Experience using the full Microsoft office suite.
- The ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
The following are desirable:
- Experience using AutoCAD to create 2D drawings.
- Experience using CAD for generating and manipulating 3D models.
- Experience with SAP/ERP for creating and modifying routings.
- Past use of MS project to maintain and create project plans.
- Understanding of problem-solving methodology.
