You will take ownership of delivering high-quality tax advice on complex corporate matters including structuring, group tax planning, international tax, M&A transactions, and technical reporting obligations. This is a client-facing position with significant responsibility for team leadership, billing management, and business development. You will work autonomously and collaboratively with Partners, helping shape tax strategy and execution for key clients while playing a vital role in developing junior staff and supporting firm growth initiatives.

Corporate Tax Compliance & Advisory:

  • Manage end-to-end corporation tax compliance for a portfolio of UK and international corporate clients.
  • Advise on corporate structuring, group reorganisations, R&D tax relief, group tax planning, and exit strategies.
  • Deliver high-quality technical advice on matters such as refinancing, legal structure optimisation, hybrid mismatches, and BEPS Pillar 2 implementation.
  • Prepare or review tax due diligence reports and provide transaction support for corporate acquisitions and disposals.
  • Assist clients with tax authority enquiries and manage technical risk.
  • Identify and implement tax-efficient opportunities in collaboration with Partners.

Client & Portfolio Management:

  • Build and manage strong, long-term client relationships through proactive service delivery and regular interaction.
  • Take full ownership of work-in-progress (WIP), billing, and recovery for your client portfolio.
  • Coordinate with accounting teams to ensure timely delivery of supporting accounts and documentation.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Supervise and mentor junior staff; provide coaching, training, and regular feedback.
  • Conduct quality reviews of tax files, self-assessment returns, and other deliverables.
  • Oversee performance appraisals and contribute to the team's learning and development strategy.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • CTA qualified (ACA/ACCA also desirable).
  • Proven experience in corporate tax compliance and advisory, ideally within a top-tier firm or mid-market advisory environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation; international tax experience is a plus.
  • Ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear, concise manner to clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent project and portfolio management skills with a commercial mindset.
  • Experience in reviewing work of junior team members and managing resource planning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-centric approach.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
  • A proactive self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Experience with tax planning, advisory, and compliance for multi-entity or international structures.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multi-stakeholder projects efficiently.

What We Offer:
