Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced UK Tax Expert with over 12 years of comprehensive experience in domestic direct and indirect tax as well as cross-border tax matters. The ideal candidate will hold a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification, with an additional ACCA qualification being preferred. The UK Tax Expert will be responsible for providing strategic tax advice, managing compliance, advising on cross-border tax issues, and contributing to business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients on domestic and international tax issues.
- Advise on complex tax matters including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and transfer pricing.
- Assist clients in optimizing tax positions and mitigating risks.
Tax Compliance:
- Oversee and manage the preparation and submission of tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with UK tax laws and regulations.
- Liaise with HMRC and other tax authorities on behalf of clients.
Cross-Border Taxation:
- Advise on cross-border tax implications and assist clients with international tax planning.
- Develop strategies for managing double taxation and tax treaties.
Indirect Tax:
- Provide expert advice on VAT, customs duties, and other indirect taxes.
- Manage compliance with indirect tax regulations.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored tax solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on all tax-related matters.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the tax practice.
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients and industry contacts.
- Contribute to the preparation of proposals and presentations to secure new clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote tax services and enhance the firm’s market presence.

- Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification is mandatory.
- Additional ACCA qualification is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in UK tax, with strong expertise in domestic direct and indirect taxes as well as cross-border tax issues.

- Experience in business development and client acquisition.
