We're recruiting a HR Business Partner for our North site. This is an onsite role with work-from-home flexibility when required. The HRBP will advise the Plant Director and leaders in the North, driving a people agenda aligned to business goals and pushing for a high‐performance, inclusive culture. The role blends strategic partnering with hands‐on HR support and demands resilience, credibility, and effectiveness in a fast‐paced environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Business Partnering & Leadership
    • Act as the trusted advisor to the Plant Director (North) and the Northern UK team.
    • Contribute actively as a member of the Immingham plant senior team, influencing business decisions through a people lens.
    • Translate business strategy into a clear people plan that supports operational goals.
    • Coach and support leaders to build capability, drive performance, and manage change effectively.
  • HR Advisory & Operational Support
    • Provide expert HR advice and guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management.
    • Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
    • Support and guide managers in handling complex and sensitive people issues.
    • Maintain a visible and accessible HR presence across the site.
  • Talent & Organisation Development
    • Support workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
    • Partner with managers on recruitment, ensuring robust and effective hiring processes.
    • Drive performance management processes, ensuring clarity, accountability, and development focus.
    • Identify skills gaps and support learning and development initiatives.
  • Engagement & Culture
    • Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement and foster a positive site culture.
    • Support communication and engagement activities across the site.
    • Promote company values and ensure they are embedded in day‐to‐day behaviours.
  • Change Management
    • Support and lead organisational change initiatives, ensuring effective planning, communication, and implementation.
    • Provide guidance on restructuring, organisational design, and transformation activity.
  • HR Projects & Continuous Improvement
    • Contribute to and lead HR projects aligned to wider business and HR strategy.
    • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance efficiency.
    • Use data and insights to inform decision-making and drive improvements.

What we'd love for you to have:

  • Proven experience in a HR Business Partner role, ideally within a manufacturing or operational environment.
  • Strong employee relations experience with the ability to manage complex cases.
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making from shopfloor to senior managers.
  • Flexible to travel between locations when needed.
  • Sound knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and operationally.
  • Ability to support others to meet production targets and improve their performance.
  • Adhere to the Knauf H&S standards and procedures.
