We’re recruiting a Mobile Plant Operator to join our manufacturing team at our Sittingbourne site. The role works on a 4-on, 6-off rota and requires flexibility to work 12‑hour day and night shifts, including weekends.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Ensure manufacturing operations are safe, efficient, and compliant with customer specifications.
  • Support decision‑making, share insights on successes and challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to drive best practices on shift.
  • Uphold high standards of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality compliance.
  • Organise your area with support from the Team Leader.
  • Meet or exceed targets and KPIs.
  • Accurately capture and manage data using systems like SAP.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving root‑cause issues, including production problems and machine breakdowns, whilst escalating these to the maintenance teams.
  • Perform quality checks to meet standards, working closely with Technical teams.
  • Suggest ideas and solutions for continuous improvements, looking to enhance team performance, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Take action to minimise downtime and boost process efficiency.
  • Utilise downtime for rework, maintenance, or compliance checks.
  • Ensure area ownership and maintain good housekeeping.
  • Perform any additional duties required to fulfill the role.

What We’d Love For You To Have

  • A high regard for health and safety standards with an understanding of H&S regulations.
  • A good level of spoken & written English.
  • IT literacy: proficiency in the basic functions of MS Office Word, Excel and SAP.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work within the current shift pattern, which includes both day and night shifts.
