As our Technical Advisor, you will support the strategic aims of the business by providing the highest possible quality technical advice, support and guidance towards the specification and use of Knauf Insulation products and systems to both external and internal customers. Technical services range from advice on all Knauf Insulation products, applications, certification and compliance with building regulations, including supporting calculations for thermal transmittance and condensation risk analysis.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Deliver technical services: As a member of the Technical Support Team (TST) make full contribution to servicing all enquiries in a professional customer focused manner whilst ensuring that internal and external customers are provided with technical services that promote the compliant use of Knauf Insulation products and systems.
  • Provide accurate and appropriate technical advice and support across all areas of activity and actively contribute to maintaining and developing a reputation for high quality advice and service within the Technical Support Team.
  • Training and Development: Actively engage in self learning and continually develop expertise across the application and product areas to complement the skills and knowledge within the team. Where appropriate deliver appropriate training materials to the direct team or to other departments or external customers.
  • Development of marketing collateral: Support the team with the review and development of company literature, documents and other technical focused marketing materials.
  • Continuous Improvement (CI): Fully engage with relevant CI activities and programs. Live and uphold the company values and behaviours as a member of the team.

  • Essential Skills:

  • Desirable Skills:
    • Knowledge of the insulation industry and insulation types
    • Working knowledge of thermal bridging calculations (PSI values)
    • Working knowledge of U Values, Condensation analysis, RdSAP and SAP
    • An understanding or experience of Continuous Improvement and its main principles
    • Degree or post graduate qualification in related technical subject
