As a Manufacturing Apprentice, you will develop the skills, knowledge, and expertise required to contribute to the production of high-quality insulation products. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about manufacturing and problem‑solving, and who are eager to build a long‑term career in the industry.
What you’ll be doing…
- Learn Manufacturing Processes: Gain a thorough understanding of the production processes, machinery, and equipment used in the manufacturing of insulation products. Assist in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production machinery under supervision.
- Support Production Activities: Work alongside experienced team members to ensure production targets are met while maintaining high‑quality standards. Participate in the preparation, monitoring, and adjustment of production lines to optimize efficiency.
- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Learn to identify and mitigate potential risks in the workplace.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Participate in team meetings and share ideas for improving manufacturing operations.
- Training and Development: Attend training sessions and complete coursework as part of the apprenticeship program. Work towards achieving a recognised qualification in manufacturing or engineering.
- Team Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with colleagues across departments. Support team members in achieving shared goals and objectives.
The Apprenticeship Program: The Apprenticeship program will be a structured apprenticeship program with on‑the‑job training and mentorship, leading to a qualification in manufacturing.
Apprenticeship Requirements:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Mathematics, English, and Science (Grade 4/C or above).
- A genuine interest in Manufacturing.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
