As a Shift Cover Team Production Op, you will provide cover for the shift teams when team members are on holiday or absent to ensure the smooth running of the plant’s production process to meet product and quality targets adhering to all safety and environmental standards. Role purpose achieved with compliance and adherence to the Company’s manufacturing and regulatory standards.
What you’ll be doing…
- To cover and support shift holidays, training and sickness. Provide flexibility and has ability to carry out a variety of tasks for which they are trained in. Operate a variety of machines in the Cold Process area & MPS ensuring output is maximised in an appropriate and safe manner.
- Operate counter balanced fork-lift vehicles for scrap removal, movement of packaging materials and to transfer pallets of finished product to stock.
- Carries out Quality Control function – ensuring that product meets required specifications as stated in the product specification database.
- Ensure that all systems of work, procedures and work instructions are adhered to. Carry out OAC & Safety first checks to a high standard and adhere to keeping their work area clean.
- During production shutdowns will be expected to carry out a variety of duties to include, warehouse loading, stock re-work and general cleaning.
- Ensure continuity of production operation is maintained by communicating and acting on all issues – safety, environmental, quality and maintenance – by highlighting to relevant personnel, shift leader or shift technician, in addition ensure any relevant reporting systems are updated / maintained.
- Ensure that all systems of work, procedures and work instructions are adhered to.
- Will be expected to embrace all Continuous Improvement activities and be part of improvement teams as and when required
