As our Senior Technical Advisor, you will support the strategic aims of the business and deliver technical services to internal departments and external customers, by phone and email. Technical services range from advice on all KINE products, applications their certification and compliance with building regulations and include calculations for thermal transmittance and condensation risk where necessary.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Deliver technical services offered through answering phone calls and emails or via the most appropriate media.
  • Deal independently with most day-to-day enquiries by drawing upon available technical documentation, the website content and available product data.
  • Engage in self-learning and develop technical expertise.
  • Support and guide activity that helps to grow the technical offering and services in the areas of thermal, acoustic and fire performance.
  • Play an active role in key projects as a senior technical support expert that is engaged in providing advice on suitability for application and compliance.

What we’d love for you to have:

  • Experience within the construction industry and ideally in both the domestic and commercial sectors.
  • In depth knowledge of construction and the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of building regulations, approved documents and British standards.
  • Ability to communicate across functions and with senior leadership in an effective way.
  • Ability to communicate detailed messages in a clear and coherent way.
  • Working knowledge of U Values and condensation analysis.
  • Knowledge of the insulation industry and insulation types.
  • Knowledge of NHBC, LABC and Premier Standards.
  • Working knowledge of RdSAP and SAP.
  • Working knowledge of thermal bridging calculations (PSI values).
  • An understanding or experience of Continuous Improvement and its main principles.
