Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Shift Engineer located in Bolton. The Shift Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated systems and equipment. Key tasks include:
- Performing routine preventive maintenance
- Ensuring system efficiency
- Responding to equipment breakdowns
- Supporting operational teams during production
- Conducting diagnostics
- Implementing technical improvements
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Documenting maintenance activities
Qualifications
- Mechanical and electrical engineering skills, including maintenance and repair of automation systems
- Experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues in automated systems
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to apply them in a work environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for scheduling and documenting maintenance work
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., HNC, HND, or equivalent) and experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
