We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Head of MFL to join our team. The MFL Department comprises French and Spanish across Key Stages 3-5, and the role requires experience teaching and leading across these subject areas, with a proven background of achieving successful outcomes.

The position will encompass leadership and management of all aspects of the curriculum, monitoring quality and consistency of provision, and oversight of community languages. As Head of MFL you will lead by example, develop, inspire and motivate your team, and be committed to achieving high standards. The role includes inspiring new ideas, maintaining a positive attitude, and demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing comprehensive programmes of study
  • Creating resources
  • Designing schemes of work
  • Implementing effective assessment and teaching strategies to ensure relevance to pupils, examining and awarding bodies, and the Academy’s Aims and Development Plan objectives
