A leading specialist marine insurer is seeking a Yacht Underwriting Assistant to join its high-performing underwriting team. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a calm, methodical approach to support underwriters operating in a complex and fast-moving risk environment.
This role is ideal for someone who has completed a Yacht season or worked in Yachts, enjoys processing work, data analysis, and supporting underwriting decisions, while building deep sector knowledge within the marine and war risks space.
The Role
- Working closely with the underwriting team, you will provide essential support across day-to-day underwriting activity, including:
- Assisting underwriters with data gathering, processing and policy administration
- Reviewing and inputting risk information with accuracy and consistency
- Supporting rating, pricing and documentation preparation
- Monitoring accounts, updating internal systems, and tracking renewals
- Producing reports and analytics to assist with underwriting decisions
- Liaising with brokers and internal stakeholders in a professional, timely manner
