A leading marine insurance provider is seeking an ambitious Underwriting Technician to join their underwriting team, supporting pricing, exposure analysis, and general underwriting administration across all marine lines of business.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the marine insurance sector, working closely with underwriters and actuaries to support pricing models, monitor aggregate exposures, and contribute to underwriting operations.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of pricing models across marine lines (cargo, hull, liability, etc.)
- Monitor and report on aggregate exposure and portfolio performance
- Support underwriters with administrative tasks, policy documentation, and data entry
- Liaise with brokers and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of risks
- Contribute to financial analysis and reporting
- Help streamline underwriting processes and improve data quality
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Proficient in Excel; familiarity with modelling tools or data platforms is a plus
