The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

We are excited to be partnering with a city based charity who is looking to recruit a Grants and Data Officer. Working as part of a team, the purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth operation of the Grants Department and its funding programmes.

Supporting this busy department the role covers both the financial and operational administration. As such there will be a strong emphasis on administration using grants database, Salesforce. Projects will include the running and updating of reports, updating of dashboards, assisting with grants enquiries, offers and processing of payments, and the organising of events related to the funding programmes. This role will involve a high volume of people contact.

As well as this you will also support with:

Operations (particularly CRM)

  • End-to-end data management of team functions using CRM System Salesforce, to include data entry, report and dashboard creation, and general record and data maintenance/ cleaning.
  • Enable the smooth processing of grant-funding applications and relationship management, through use of software packages such as Form Assembly, SAGE, Members and more.
  • Liaise with external support agencies and software providers to resolve any operational issues
  • Proactively seeking to optimise the processes and systems in place, keeping up to date with Salesforce releases and ensuring all technology is fully aligned. You will monitor system performance to ensure the system is efficient and suggest improvements. .

Communications (Foundation)

  • To be the first point of contact for the Grants Department, answering enquiries via phone, email, letter and social media. Ensures applicants are dealt with compassionately and professionally.
  • To monitor, maintain and improve the Foundation’s online presence for grant applicants. This will include ensuring clear and relevant information is available on the website and beyond. Includes writing and updating content for web pages and mailings internally and externally.

Event Co-ordination

  • To assist in administering arrangements for a small number of events.

Grant /Committee Administration

  • To assist with the preparation of meeting papers for circulation before board meetings.
  • To ensure all systems, databases and hard copy files are kept up to date, remove duplicates and allow for timely processing and payment of grants.

Additional Information

  • The post holder may also be expected to carry out other duties, as reasonably requested.

The person

The ideal person will have;

  • Proven organisational and administrative capabilities
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Salesforce or other CRM experience (ideally Administrator level)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to support applicants/grantees from a wide range of organisations and backgrounds
  • Proactive and organised team-player, with a can-do approach to challenges
  • Ability to effectively manage workload, adjust to changing requirements and deliver to deadlines
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office at highly proficient level

Full time: 5 days per week, 8 hours a day including 1 hour lunch (hours to be performed between 8am – 6pm with core hours of 10am – 4pm).

Hybrid working available 1-2 days working from home per week
