Are you a recent graduate looking to start your career in insurance? A leading marine insurance company is seeking a Claims Assistant to join their experienced claims team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Claims Manager, you’ll assist with the day-to-day administration and processing of marine insurance claims. You’ll be exposed to real cases, learn the fundamentals of claims handling, and develop a strong foundation in the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the claims team with administrative tasks and documentation
- Assist in logging and tracking claims accurately in internal systems
- Liaise with brokers, clients, and internal departments
- Help compile reports and maintain claims files
- Learn and apply insurance principles and procedures
- Provide general support to the Claims Manager and wider team
About You
- Recent graduate (Finance, Business, Law, or related field preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Keen to learn and grow within the insurance industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
- Previous admin experience is a plus but not essential
