- Preparing and maintaining cashflow forecasts and providing the Directors with clear visibility of the company's cash position
- Preparing payment runs for Director approval
- Producing monthly management information, budgets and cashflow reports
- Preparing monthly aged debtor and creditor reports
- Managing the quarterly VAT return process, including preparation, submission and reconciliation
- Carrying out credit control and following up outstanding client payments

- Working closely with the Office Manager to track invoices, timesheets and payment packages
- Monitoring outstanding submissions and resolving finance-related queries
- Managing invoice discounting reconciliations, reporting and associated queries
- Providing ad hoc financial analysis
About You
We are looking for an experienced finance professional who is comfortable taking ownership of the finance function within a small business and can work autonomously without significant day-to-day supervision.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience working as a Financial Controller, ideally within an SME
- Strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50
- Experience with online banking and invoice discounting systems
- Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- A strong understanding of cashflow, reconciliations, VAT and management reporting
