This is a full-time, on-site Class 1 Driver role based in Newcastle. The Class 1 Driver will operate articulated trucks safely and efficiently to deliver goods to customers and distribution points on scheduled routes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Completing pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections
  • Securing loads
  • Adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
  • Maintaining accurate delivery documentation
  • Reporting any vehicle or route issues promptly
  • Coordinating with dispatch and warehouse teams
  • Representing KMC professionally with customers
  • Ensuring courteous communication and handling of any delivery queries or issues

Qualifications:

  • Proficient truck driving skills, including safe operation of articulated trucks and adherence to transport regulations
  • Valid Class 1 license with a clean driving record
  • Strong communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and the public
  • Good awareness of vehicle safety, load securing practices, and basic truck maintenance checks
  • Ability to follow route plans, manage time effectively, and complete deliveries within set schedules
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
