KMC Recruitment are working with a well-established and highly respected business within the hire sector to recruit a Washbay Operative for their Reading depot. This is a hands-on role working within a busy depot environment, supporting the preparation, cleaning and presentation of equipment before they go back out to customers. If you take pride in keeping things right, spot problems others miss, and don’t mind getting stuck in, this could be a good fit. You’ll be part of a close-knit operational team where quality standards matter and everyone mucks in when needed.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for ensuring equipment is cleaned, checked, replenished and prepared to a high standard before dispatch, as well as identifying any damages or operational issues when units return to depot.
Day-to-day Duties Will Include:
- Cleaning welfare units and plant equipment to company standards
- Supporting the loading and unloading of vehicles and wash bay areas
- Working closely with yard, stores and PDI teams
- Reporting damages, defects or repair requirements
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Supporting the maintenance team where required
- Following all Health and Safety guidelines
