The Role As part of a busy customer service and hire desk team, you'll be responsible for managing customer enquiries, arranging hires and ensuring customers receive a professional, efficient service throughout the process.
Your responsibilities will include
- Responding to customer enquiries by telephone and email.
- Preparing quotations and processing hire orders accurately.
- Liaising with operational teams to coordinate deliveries, collections and equipment availability.
- Building strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Providing advice on products and services to help customers find the right solution.
- Supporting Business Development Managers with customer accounts and enquiries.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all documentation is completed correctly.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent service and resolve any issues quickly.
About You We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.
You'll ideally have
- Previous experience in a customer service, hire desk, sales support or coordination role.
- Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and in writing.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
- GCSE English (Grade 4/C or above), or equivalent.
Experience within the plant hire, construction, tool hire or related sectors would be advantageous, although it isn't essential.
