We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established business within the plant hire and equipment rental industry for a reliable and professional HGV Driver based in Bristol.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver looking for a stable, full-time position with competitive pay, early working hours, and the opportunity to earn additional commission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely deliver and collect plant and equipment to and from customer sites.
  • Carry out daily vehicle inspections and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy at all times.
  • Secure loads correctly and comply with all transport legislation.
  • Complete delivery paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Provide excellent customer service, acting as a professional representative of the business.
  • Report any vehicle defects, incidents, or delays promptly.
  • Support the depot team with loading, unloading, and general yard duties when required.

Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence (Class 1 advantageous).
  • Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Previous experience driving HGV vehicles, ideally within the plant hire, construction, or equipment rental sector.
  • A good understanding of driver hours and transport regulations.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • A positive attitude with the ability to work independently.
