Whilst this role will focus specifically on civil matters, you will be joining a firm that operates across multiple disciplines, providing opportunities for broader professional development. Key Responsibilities Diverse Caseload Management: Handle a range of civil litigation matters with professionalism and competency. Client Care: Deliver high-quality legal services with a strong focus on client relationships and outcomes. Individual must be personable and confident in handling client communications to ensure clients feel as supported as possible. Advocacy and Representation: Draft legal documents, prepare for hearings, and represent clients in court and at mediations where appropriate. Council Contract Work: Participate in delivering advice and legal assistance to new businesses via our contract with Staffordshire Council, offering an excellent opportunity to support start-ups and SMEs. Compliance and Best Practice: Ensure work complies with all regulatory requirements and firm policies, maintaining meticulous case records in line with Lexcel standards Team Collaboration: Work closely with the civil litigation team and liaise with colleagues across the criminal, family, and proceeds of crime departments when needed. Key Requirements Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales (>1 years PQE preferred). Experience across a range of civil litigation areas. Client-focused approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload. High level of organisational and time management skills. IT proficiency, including familiarity with case management systems. Commitment to ongoing professional development and contributing to a collaborative working environment. The civil team handle matters spanning general civil disputes, equine law and misrepresentation matters, personal injury claims, employment matters, property litigation and commercial legal advice. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across a broad range of civil matters in a supportive and professional environment.
