A highly regarded Legal 500 City firm specialising in the technology, media and entertainment sectors are seeking a Trademark Attorney to join their team. You will join a Legal 500 ranked intellectual property team who advise on worldwide filing strategies and prosecute UK and international trade mark applications. The firm’s longstanding emphasis on the Technology, Media and Entertainment sectors has made it a leader in these fields and means that they often grapple with cutting edge trade mark issues, such as the protection of brands in the AI space, and innovative uses of non-traditional marks.

You will work with the firm's Head of Trade Marks, other Chartered Trade Mark Attorneys, paralegals and the wider IP team. The team advise clients on the full range of IP issues ranging from trade mark clearance and prosecution, management of global registered trade mark portfolios, and disputes before the IPOs, as well as design registrations and maintenance.

  • Preparing evidence and legal submissions to support registration, oppositions and cancellation actions, and other disputes;
  • Instructing and co-ordinating the work of overseas attorneys;
  • Handling assignment or recordal projects;
  • Helping with matter billing;
  • Helping to strengthen and develop relationships with clients;
  • An enthusiasm for trade mark law.
