A leading national law firm are seeking an Associate/Senior Associate to join their Insurance, Risk and Regulatory team in the heart of London.
The team handle the defence of pre-action and litigated civil claims for personal injury and property damage, regulatory (HSE, police and CQC) investigations and prosecutions, attending at coroner’s inquests and dealing with policy coverage issues and disputes. The team advise clients on crisis and risk management consultancy services for policyholders. You will work closely with the London and international insurance and reinsurance markets, advising insurers, managing general agents and other market participants across a broad range of coverage and claims matters.
You will play an important role assisting partners on complex litigation, often involving criminal and health and safety related enforcement action, civil claims for compensation, coroner’s inquests and coverage interpretation/disputes. You will also have an autonomous case load of defendant Employer’s Liability and Public Liability claims. The team is primarily instructed by insurers to act on behalf of policyholders but also receives non-insurance related instructions. The value of the claims range from fast track through to multi-million pound multi-party disputes.
The team are looking for a Senior solicitor but candidates with a minimum of 3 years PQE will be considered. You must have experience from a well regarded firm ideally working on behalf of insurers. It is essential that you have experience in EL and PL claims.
