A leading South East top 100 law firm are seeking a Head of Debt Recovery to join their Brighton office.

Role

You will join the firm’s dynamic commercial debt recoveries team, building on a loyal and strong existing client base to expand the firm’s offering to new clients with a portfolio of debts. The team recover debts for a solid base of professional service firms as well as commercial businesses. You will lead, drive forward and build on the success of the team and help the firm expand its offerings into mainstream banks and alternative lenders as well as commercial organisations. You will grow the team and client portfolio to the next level, moulding its future. Although you will be based in the firm’s Brighton office you will have responsibility for the firm’s other regional and London offices.

Candidate

You will have experience in and knowledge of commercial portfolio debt recovery work. Experience of dealing with client billing and familiarity with the anti-money laundering policies and procedures is essential. It is important you have experience managing people and you will need to feel comfortable meeting with commercial clients and managing relationships with them. The right candidate will need to be willing to formulate and drive business development initiatives. A qualification in Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM) would be useful but is not essential. Qualified Solicitors are encouraged to apply as well as non-qualified professionals.
