Are you an experienced roofer in the Walsall area with strong skills in waterproofing? This is a great opportunity to take your career in a new direction, and use the knowledge you’ve built on-site to guide the next generation of roofing apprentices! You’ll receive full training to become a qualified assessor, along with excellent support, and the chance to develop professionally in a centre-based role.

Duties

  • Assess and support learners working towards full Apprenticeships in Roofing (Level 2), specialising in Waterproofing.
  • Deliver full training and support learners through their Functional Skills – Maths, English and ICT to Level 2.
  • Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners' skills, knowledge and behaviours.
  • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely reviews and completions.
  • Support learners through the End Point Assessment Process.
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.

Essential Criteria

  • Must hold solid occupational competency within Roofing (specifically waterproofing).
  • Ideally hold (or willing to work towards) a recognised teaching/assessing qualification: D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA.

Personal Skills

  • Organisational skills are a must, also ability to plan time effectively.
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
  • Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners.
