Duties

  • Deliver Functional Skills English and Maths, Personal Development and Employability to learners within a classroom environment.
  • Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
  • Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
  • Be flexible with delivery methods, providing differentiation and adapt quickly to learners' needs.
  • Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
  • Be engaging and demonstrate energy and passion to motivate/train clients to help learners realise their potential.
  • Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of delivering Functional Skills training to small groups of learners.
  • Minimum Level 5 Teaching Qualification.
  • Level 3 qualification in Maths and English.
  • Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and train clients.
  • Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
