Location: Cheshire, based

Salary: £38,400 - £42,400 (inclusive of car allowance) - salary depending on qualifications and experience

Type: Full Time, Permanent - 37 hours per week

Essential Criteria (for all candidates):

  • Must hold solid, occupational competency within the Heavy Automotive Engineering and Maintenance sector.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Automotive Engineering for HGV and trailers.
  • Must have experience within Teaching/Assessing/Training (full training and support will be provided to achieve the Teaching and Assessing qualifications).
  • Hold a recognised qualification in Vehicle Mechanics at Level 3 or above.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Ideally have an understanding of Apprenticeship programmes.
  • Must be flexible with travel.

Duties:

  • Assess/mentor learners working towards Apprenticeships in Bus and Coach Engineering, Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician.
  • Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.
  • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
  • Support, advise and motivate learners.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.

  • Must be an excellent communicator who is learner and quality focused.
  • Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
  • Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners.
