Horticulture Tutor / Trainer (Trainee or Qualified)

Job Title: Horticulture Tutor / Trainer (trainee or qualified)

Location: South Wales, with bi-monthly travel to Cambridgeshire (hotel, mileage, and food covered)

Type: 4 days per week, Permanent (Monday – Thursday)

Salary: £25,000 (take-home pay)

Essential Criteria:

• Ideally hold a Level 3 Teaching Qualification OR an Assessors Award – if you do not hold either, you must be able to demonstrate extensive experience of internal training within your role and be willing to work towards a Teaching/Training qualification provided by our client.
• Must hold a minimum of NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent/higher) in Horticulture.
• Experience of delivering training in a workshop/group-based setting – or providing on-the-job training within the workplace.
• Organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.

Duties:

• Teach/assess learners in a classroom-based setting, working towards a vocational qualification within Horticulture.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learners\’ needs.
• Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging, and develop learners\’ skills, knowledge, and behaviours.
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular assessments and reviews.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners regarding decision-making and progression.
• Embed Maths and English into sessions.
