About the role

In your role as Finance Business Partner – Investment Segment you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset.

This role will provide a great opportunity tohave responsibility for aspects of financial business support and planning, including month end processes and various papers and presentations to committees and boards.
Together with the Finance Business Partner and Senior Finance Business Partner, you will proactively support driving change and provide financial support to enable the Investment Segment to deliver its strategic objectives whilst managing approved budgets.
As Finance Business Partner, you will also develop and maintain relationships between Investment Segment and Finance to ensure robust financial management, accurate and timely forecasting.

What you will be doing

As a trusted part of the Finance you will:

  • Support strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and three-year business plans for the Investment Segment.
  • Prepare and analyse variance reports to identify risks and opportunities, providing executive-level commentary.
  • Manage month-end processes, ensuring accurate management accounts and strong financial controls.
  • Review business cases, provide financial insights, and support sustainable cost-saving initiatives.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to influence finance-driven business decisions.
  • Lead reporting and management information delivery tailored for committees, boards, and business owners.
  • Participate in finance continuous improvement projects, including system implementations like Power BI and Vena.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Experience in business partnering and financial planning.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced Excel and data modelling skills with large, sensitive datasets.
  • Proficient in analytical presentation, including intermediate to advanced PowerPoint.
  • Experience managing month-end processes, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Knowledge of financial products and concepts related to the Investment Segment (desirable).
