Essential Criteria (for all candidates):
- Must hold solid, occupational competency within the Heavy Automotive Engineering and Maintenance sector.
- Must have a working knowledge of Automotive Engineering for HGV and trailers.
- Must have experience within Teaching / Assessing / Training (full training and support will be provided to achieve the Teaching and Assessing qualifications).
- Hold a recognised qualification in Vehicle Mechanics at Level 3 or above.
- Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- Ideally have an understanding of Apprenticeship programmes.
- Must be flexible with travel.
Duties:
- Assess/mentor learners working towards Apprenticeships in Bus and Coach Engineering, Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician.
- Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.
- Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
- Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
- Support, advise and motivate learners.
- Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.

- Must be an excellent communicator who is learner and quality focused.
- Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
- Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
- Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners.
