Essential Criteria for both roles:
- Must hold a minimum of a Level 2 NVQ in Groundworks / Construction, coupled with extensive Groundworks competency (New-build).
- Must have worked on new-build developments, with 1st and 2nd fix experience.
- Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
- Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
- Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Duties:
Groundworks Trainer / Assessor (£42,000 - £48,000)
- Teach/assess learners working towards Groundworks Apprenticeships (up to Level 3), across practical and theoretical competencies.
- Ensure training materials are up to date and in-line with organisational and regulatory standards.
- Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
- Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
- Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners' skills knowledge and behaviours.
- Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
Groundworks Technician (£32,000 - £36,000)
- Work closely with the Groundworks Trainer, to ensure the workshop environment is clean, organised and compliant with Health and Safety regulations.
- Support Apprentices through the delivery of practical workshop training sessions.
- Set up practical demonstrations and activities.
- Monitor and maintain tools and equipment stock levels, and ordering new stock when required.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to learners within the classroom.
- Conduct monthly progress check-ins with learners.
- Ensure that materials and equipment are made available and organised for training sessions.
