We’re looking for an ambitious, hungry Software Engineering Intern with a solid foundation in full-stack development to join us for a hands‑on, high‑impact internship. This is not an internship where you'll be fixing minor bugs or writing documentation all day. You will join our tight‑knit engineering squad — working directly alongside our founding software engineer and Ali Sarraf (Cofounder & CPTO). You will be shipping real code to production, helping us scale our Beta product, and building features directly for our pilot pipeline. If you thrive in fast‑paced environments, love solving tricky problems, and want to build meaningful technology that has both business and environmental impact, this is the perfect launchpad for your engineering career.
Location: Our office in London, Acton (with a hybrid working culture)
Start: ASAP
What You’ll Do:
- Build and Ship Features
- Write clean, production‑ready code across our front‑end and back‑end systems under the mentorship of our founding team.
- Help build and refine features for our customer‑facing full‑stack tools and Slack/Teams integrations.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning.
- Work closely with Support, Ops, and the founders to understand user pain points and pilot feedback.
- Learn how to translate real‑world customer problems into simple, scalable product features.
- Gain firsthand experience of what it takes to scale a tech product from Beta to full market launch.
- Take ownership of discrete projects from idea to deployment, bringing your own creativity and initiative to the table.
- Learn to use AI tools and automation thoughtfully to streamline internal operations and support product growth.
Requirements:
- Have a strong programming foundation with a solid understanding of full‑stack development (via a university degree, bootcamp, or self‑taught side projects).
- Have hands‑on project experience using TypeScript.
- Love building things—you have a GitHub, portfolio, or side projects that showcase your ability to take a project from concept to code.
- Are a fast learner who is comfortable diving into unfamiliar technical areas and figuring things out.
- Are excited by early‑stage tech startups, eager to learn from experienced engineers and founders.
- Communicate clearly, collaborate well with others, and take initiative.
- Care about sustainability and want your work to have real‑world impact.
- Are comfortable in fast‑moving, unstructured environments and are based in, or able to commute to, London.
Nice‑to‑haves (none required):
- Experience building or interacting with chat apps/bots (Slack API, Teams API).
- Experience with Nest.js.
- Experience in device lifecycle management or IT support.
Purpose‑driven work: Make a measurable impact on reducing e‑waste and transforming how businesses use technology.
Build something meaningful: Help create the platform that powers a new generation of sustainable, automated IT services.
Autonomy and trust: Work directly with Ali (CPTO) and the founding team to influence decisions from day one.
Continuous learning: Get exposure to product strategy, operations, AI workflows, and the realities of building a fast‑growing tech business.
Values‑led culture: As a B Corp, we prioritize flexibility, fairness, environmental impact, and long‑term thinking.
The best ideas come from a team with varied perspectives and experiences. Inclusion is core to our mission, and we’re committed to building a kind, inclusive workplace where everyone is empowered to grow and succeed.
