We are looking for a Full Time Permanent Second Chef to join the team in our Restaurant in Mortonhall Garden Centre. Our competitive rates of pay range dependent on experience. All positions include weekends working so flexibility is a must.
The Role
As a Second Chef, you will support the Head Chef in the operation of all areas of food production and cleaning in the kitchen. You will work as part of a small team under the guidance of the Head Chef and be responsible for the preparation of our fresh ingredients for our full menu range.
What you will be doing as a Second Chef?
- Prepare fresh ingredients
- Prepare hot and cold food orders to order
- Monitor stock levels and contribute towards the ordering process
- Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste
- Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
- Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.
